CIRCULAR FoodPack Technical Webinar “How to make flexible food packaging circular”

Do you want to find out how a sustainable circular economy of flexible plastic packaging can be established and learn about the technologies used to achieve this ambitious goal? Then join the Technical Webinar “How to make flexible food packaging circular” organised by the EU project CIRCULAR FoodPack on 27 November 2024, and ask the experts!

In the last 3.5 years, the CIRCULAR FoodPack consortium has worked on designing circularity for flexible packaging, demonstrated the technical realisation of the various steps required to obtain Post-Consumer Recyclates, and how to integrate the PCR in new packaging meeting the high standards for food protection and safety.

During the webinar, the project partners will present their key findings and provide a deep dive into the technical aspects of their work.
In 15-minutes pitches, you will gain insights into the following topics:

  • Collection & sorting (by Suez & Polysecure)
  • Advanced mechanical recycling cascade (by Ghent University, Laboratory for Circular Process Engineering)
  • Dissolution-based recycling cascade (by Fraunhofer IVV)
  • Challenge tests (by Fraunhofer IVV)
  • Design for and from recycling (by Fraunhofer IVV)
  • LCSA evaluation (by Ghent University Sustainable Systems Engineering & National Technical University of Athens)

A Q&A session will round off the programme.
