Meet our CIRCULAR FoodPack experts at the Innovation Forum 4 Plastics on 19 April 2024 in Brussels!

On 23 November 2023, the CIRCULAR FoodPack project welcomed 85 participants in the premises of the Fraunhofer Institute for Packaging and Process Engineering in Freising, Germany for its first Conference on “Circularity for Food Packaging”.

Our project partner AMCOR has successfully integrated 50% post-consumer polyethylene recyclates (PCR PE) from the CIRCULAR FoodPack project into a triplex laminate film on an industrial scale for the first time.

On 23 November 2023, we invite you to our first conference on circularity for food packaging. The event will take place at the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV in Freising, Germany, and is organised in cooperation with BayFOR.

On 29 June, CIRCULAR FoodPack held its first public webinar on “Innovative sorting for plastic packaging waste: Tracer-Based-Sorting and digital watermarking, in conjunction with NIR sorters".

CIRCULAR FoodPack attended the Plastics Recycling World Expo in Essen, Germany, from 14 - 15 June 2023 together with 5 other EU-funded projects from the Circular Plastics Cluster.

This summer, we were able to perform our first sorting trials in large scale to proove the feasibility and effectiveness of our Tracer-Based-Sorting approach within CIRCULAR FoodPack.
