Maastricht University is the second youngest university in the Netherlands and is considered as the most international Dutch university. Maastricht University’s research is focused on three themes: Quality of Life, Learning and Innovation, Europe in a Globalising World and Sustainability & Circularity. Research is integrated into education, with the educational method of Problem-Based Learning at its core. Within the Circular Foodpack project, the research group Circular Plastics of the department of Circular Chemical Engineering (Faculty of Science and Engineering) is involved. The research group is located at the Chemelot industrial site in Geleen (The Netherlands).
